Grandma's offers many classes, listed below. We also have several groups that meet regularly, but are not "classes". Find out more about them on the groups page.

ATTENTION ALL KNITTERS!

You may come in at any time for instruction in basic to advanced knitting or crocheting during shop hours. The cost is $10 for up to 2 hours if you have a FIBER CLUB CARD. To get your FIBER CLUB CARD you simply need to make a yarn purchase at the shop. Once you have mastered the basics, here are some of the skills you may want to add to your repetoire: reading and understanding patterns, dragon scales, granny shrug, diagonal box stitch afghan, crochet in the round, baby surprise jacket, working woman's shawl, basic knitting techniques, provisional cast-ons, magic loop, basic sock, short row, knitting in the round, blocking, mobius cowl, double knitting, entrelacetc.

SPINNING WORKSHOPS: Donna is in the shop THURSDAY AFTERNOONS to assist you with spinning questions or concerns. She can help you pick out perfect fibers for your projects, suggest ideas for projects and show you how to get the most out of your spinning wheel or spindle.

OPEN KNITTING, CROCHET & SPINNING Come on in anytime and pull up a chair, relax with a cuppa and work on your latest project, or find a new one to start! TUESDAY AFTERNOONS, crocheters seem to congregate but knitters are always welcome too. Knitters, crocheters, spinners and other fiber enthusiasts hang out on WEDNESDAY EVENINGS for "After Hours At Grandma's" from 5:30-8:00, and on FRIDAY AFTERNOONS for "Happy Hour at Grandma's." Grandma's spinning group, the "Whorling Dervishes" spend THURSDAY AFTERNOONS transforming fiber into yarn.

GRANDMA'S SOCK-IT-TO-ME CLUB meets the second SATURDAY of the month at 10:30 to work on our sock projects and get inspired to try new ones. We have knitters who are experienced with DPNs, migic loop, two circulars, two-at-a-time, cuff down, toe up and heel up techniques.

REMEMBER: If you have a group of 3 or more, we would be happy to try and schedule any of our classes at whatever time meets your needs.

All classes are located at the shop. Registration fees must be paid in advance and are non-refundable. If you need to cancel, we need 48 hours notice in order to apply your registration fee to a future class. REGISTRATION FOR CLASSES CLOSES ONE WEEK BEFORE THE CLASS. Sign up early.
