CLASS Fiber Dyeing
FIBER DYEING with acid-based dyes for wool and silk: Learn how to create “hand-dyed” yarns and fibers using acid-based dyes. You will learn to mix primary colors to create your own blend of colors, and you will use them to dye wool. Then you will learn how to set those dyes using a microwave so that you can easily do your dyeing at home! Felters will learn to create their own special colors. No experience necessary. However, if you have already tried dyeing and want to learn some new techniques, or would just like to engage in experimentation, come do it with Donna!
Cost: $45.00 includes all dyeing materials, some roving, raw fleece and yarn. If you have something that you would like to try dyeing from your stash, bring in a small quantity (1-2 oz.).
