Group participation requires that you are a Fiber Club Card holder, which happens when you purchase yarn or fiber at the shop. If you are not vaccinated, we ask that you sit socially distanced from the rest of the group.
THE FOLLOWING GROUPS ARE NOW MEETING AGAIN:
AFTER HOURS AT GRANDMA'S
Our Wednesday evening social crafting group is meeting again from 5:30-8:00. Bring your needles, hooks, loom, wheel, or any other craft you are working on, and join this free, lively, fun crafting group.
AFTERNOON SOCIAL CRAFTING
Come meet your new best friend at one (or all) of our social knitting groups that meet Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons from 1:00-3:30. Participation is free to Fiber Club members.
Bring your wheel, or use one of ours for Grandma's social spinning group. We will be meeting the 4th Saturday of each month from 1:00-4:00 at the shop. You will get to sample different spinning fibers and practice different techniques for spinning them. There will be a discounted cost for the fiber(s) of the day. Participation is free! Please call to let us know if you are planning to attend so we can be sure to have fiber samples for you to spin.
Do you enjoy knitting socks? This group meets the 4th Saturday of each month from 10:30-12:30 to share patterns, techniques and ideas. At each meeting we feature a sock yarn which we offer to members at a 20% discount. We do NOT teach sock knitting at these meetings; if you would like to learn to knit socks, call the shop and we can set up a lesson at $15.00 per hour.
CHARITY KNIT/CROCHET GROUP
We meet from 10:30-12:30 the first and third Wednesday mornings to knit and crochet for local charities. If you have the time to share your skills for those in need, please come and join us. We have had lots of baby yarns that have been donated that you may use, and would be pleased to accept anything (mostly acrylic) suitable for adults and adolescents.
