Dyeing a Sock Blank & Silk Fabric
Vicky will guide you in hand dyeing your own wool sock blank and silk fabric so that you can knit a matching pair of socks in your choice of colors, or a lovely scarf or shawl. The blanks contain about 400 yards.
You will learn how to create hand dyed yarns with acid-based dyes by mixing colors to create your own blend of colors while making designs on a sock blank, and then learn how to set those dyes using vinegar so that you can easily do more dyeing at home!
