Natural Dyeing Workshop
Discover the magical world of natural dyes on wool yarn in this six hour workshop
During this process we will learn the basics of scouring & mordanting with alum. We will then proceed to dye with yellows from marigolds, honey locust, Osage orange, & pomegranate, & reds from madder & Brazilwood.
We will also have an indigo pot and dye some beautiful blues; as well as over-dyeing some of our yellows to get various gorgeous greens.
All of these dyes can be found at Grandma’s Spinning Wheel so you can continue your natural dyeing adventure!
