Double Heddle Weaving



Description

Learn to warp a rigid heddle loom for double heddle use and 4 weaving techniques. By the time you’ve finished today’s project you’ll come away with a cell phone pouch. Class participants are required to bring their own looms, set up to use 2 heddles (7.5 / 8 dent), the tools to warp the loom, and 2 shuttles to weave with. We’ll be using 2 colors of high contrast yarn purchased from Grandma’s Spinning Wheel

 


Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: Must be comfortable with warping a rigid heddle loom, as well as basic rigid heddle weaving experience
Requirements: Rigid Heddle Loom capable to do double heddle 2 Heddles (7.5 / 8 dent) 2 Shuttles 2 colors of yarn, worsted weight, high contrast colors Sleigh hook Warping peg Tapestry Needle Scissors Warping tools Warp separator Optional: Tape Measure

Instructor Bio: The "Unbe-weave-able" Lauren is an accomplished knitter and weaver and a lover of all fiber arts. She has many years of experience with both rigid and mutli heddle weaving, and is excited to share her expertise with all and sundry!
