Carding; The Next Step

Hand carding is a way to smooth / comb your fibers into one direction, and blending your colors to get the exact shades and textures that you want for your fiber arts project. Learn the difference between roving, batts and puni's, as how to add a bit of sparkle or pizzazz to any fiber.

In this three hour class you will learn how to use hand cards, a blending board and a drum carder to create your own custom batts or puni's that can be used for hand spinning or wet / needle felting projects.

This class also explains how combs, hackles and pickers are used in the initial combing process, and then how those fibers are then combed even further to create custom colors and blends.
